Dear Friends,
I exploited the two-hour window I had available last night to image the stunning open cluster NGC 869 in Perseus and which forms one-half of the well-known "Double in Perseus". The sky was quite challenging, for the intense humidity made for relatively good seeing for this time of the year with FWHM around 2.3" but the transparency was VERY poor and I am quite surprised at the amount of signal that was captured.
For those interested, please see
www.astrovox.gr/forum/album_pic.php?pic_id=3023 (1200 x 900)
www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-0869.htm (image details)
For a glimpse of the other half of this dynamic duo, please see www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-0884.htm .
The LRGB image is based on two-hours total exposure.

Lovely image Anthony - clearly your software re-installation worked
I noted another comment on the AP UG where the poster seems to see more stars visually than you have captured photographically. Any ideas?
That's a heck of a setup there, comandeered by a competent imager and processor. Excellent. Well done!
