Good luck with the camera and I pray for clear skies so that we can see the results. Did you get it from Ian King or direct from the States?

I got it from Ian King. I had considered the US route but didn't want to risk it with something so fragile as a CCD camera. Ian is a decent fella to deal with. No sales pressure, just info. Spent a good half hour on the phone to him one day with no sale at the end of it - in fact the info he gave me turned me off a purchase I would have otherwise made. When I eventually made up my mind, I went back to him.

Just waiting on two bits of stuff I ordered from Maplin to arrive in the door - a phono head for my robofocus kit to connect it to my dew controller for power and a 5pin DIN extension cable for the camera. Once I get those two bits on Monday (hopefully) I'll be sorted.

Did you inquire about the Artemis ART1102 ? Same chip as the SBIG 1100M and I wondered how good these cameras where since I have not seen any reviews.
