Clear weather at long last!
I got a bunch of AVI's of Saturn tonight
taken with a philips webcam & the ETX125.
Heres a quickly processed one, small and origional size;
I could easily make out the Cassini division on the laptop screen
which was a treat.
I'm sure I've better captures but it's gonna take a few nights to
process them all.
Any comments welcome.

Excellent images Frank, well focused and clear.
Practice is definitely making perfect for you.
One thing, they are a tiny bit faint, this also happens to me when I get the planets, maybe increase the gain slightly more when capturing the AVI,
all the same a great improvement!.

Thanks for the encouraging words lads!
Yet again my laptop screen let me down...after I see how dark these
actually are on a proper monitor.
I'm definatly gonna have to process at the main pc.
here is a re-adjusted one,
is it any better? My eyes are starting to give up on me..
Dave G:
''this beautiful night!! Ain't it a cracker!''
Last night was an awesome night...especially after the stormy patch.
I see you were a busy man yourself.
Dave L:
''Practice is definitely making perfect for you.''
I wish I could get more in!!!
This it only the third chance I've had to image Saturn since I got the scope in August because of the weather!!
Last night was just too good a night not to give it a go..
(I was a zombie for half the morning after only 4 hours sleep., but it was worth it!)
I see what you are saying about the image bieng faint.
Everytime I increase the gain I loose detail.
I spent yonks last night going through different settings.
From full auto right thru to every combo of manual you could think of.
Also I'm still just getting the hang of Registax.
You could spend a lifetime playing with settings....
On the Capture side of things, what settings do you find helpfull?
