First Attempt at Imaging was created by michael_murphy
Hi All,
I tried my hand at imaging last night and here is the result.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/murphy2006/368948053/.
Taken with Neststar 11 and an unmodified Phillips Toucam Pro, stacked using registack 4.
I tried to get a bigger image using a 3x barlow but couldn't get the focus correct - lots more practice I think.
Any tips/comments appreciated.
Michael.

That's an excellent first attempt.
Not much wrong with it that I can see.
Keep imaging and you will keep improving - that's the best tip I can give to you right now.

Thats an excellent 1st go!
Did you go to a dark site or was it in light pollution?
How about IR or IV filters, they can help get a better image.

That's a great image in it's own right, let alone as a 1st image! Great stuff!!
Best advice: practice, practice, practice! Some nights you'll get better images; other nights the seeing will only give muck. Overall though, your understand of the process and your techniques will improve.
