Awsome Lunar Eclipse Animation

Guys,

There is NO rotation of the moon during the six hours. What the fellow did was stick the camera to the telescope and left it there during the six-hr duration of the eclipse. We all have observed the moon during an evening undergo a rotation (clockwise) with the most notable feature, Mare Crisium, starting from the 'north pole' when the moon is rising, the same feature being due 'east' when the moon approaches the meridian and then due 'south' when it is about to set.

I saw a video clip yesterday of the eclipse on Cloudy Nights that was perfect ... seeing the moon rotate slightly during each frame was precisely what a ground-based observer would observe.
