Well lads,
It took 3 days, and after it, I dont want to be doing any more image processing for a month.
Here is a sequence/animation of 37 images, I got cought with high haze so the middle and very end are poor, still, it shows the colours red and blue and some stars passing by.

If only I had a clear sky
This is the sequence list

These are all single frames, no stacking was done here.
Here are some of my favourite of the sequence, this are big so broadband is almost a must, enjoy, all comments are welcome.

You're right about the haze Dave, but that's the beauty about the Moon - it is big enough and powerful enough to get through that. Not as good as your other eclipse shots though!

You just cant beat the weather. All I can do is wait until next Feb 2008 for the next one and hope.
All the same, the experience gained with exposures will be a real help next time around.
I did very minimal processing of these images as I wanted the colours to be as indicative of the real thing as possible, I could have taken some of the haze out, but found it would not improve the image.
The 4th one is almost like a lunar diamond ring
I really like the 5th, as it cought some of the white lunar surface and still has some of the red of the shadowed side.

Dave - superb. Really, they are exellent images and a fabulous sequence.
I'm sure I heard someone mention the next eclipse is August this year - is that the total that's not visible here?
Cheers
Dave
