Saturday's Moon was created by JohnMurphy
The moon was spectacular last night, and the photo below does not do it any justice. The craters along the terminator formed a veritable mountain range. The seeing was quite good, and with the high altitude of the early evening, this made it a sure for a nice photo. I decided to rattle of about 10 shots, and stacked them later in Registax. This took forever, as each photo was about a 46MB TIFF. However the results after stacking and Wavelet processing were quite good so I didn't bother with further processing. Here's a link to the hi-res

make sure you blow it up to full size to get all the detail,
and heres a low-res of the result. I reckon this is the best I've gotten yet.
Canon 350D - C102SLT - 9 x 1/25s exposures at ISO100.

I'd agree, definitely your best to date.
Lots of detail visible around the upper mare, very nice,

John - that's a lovely image. I checked out the hi res version and its really good.
The framing is excellent too.
I think you may deserve to be the Resident Lunar Imager of IFAS...
