Hu,
The high moon tonight just looked magic through the scope tonight, Copernicus just looked perfect, so I decided to throw on the focal reducer and get it with the canon,
(sorry dial up people, this is over 0.5 megs, i wanted to preserve detail)

Due to flickr restrictions, this is not full size, however the Copernicus region below is.

I stacked 5 frames in registax, I wanted alot more but the clouds rolled in, typical. These are quick and dirty image processing wise, I'll probability be able to improve them tomorrow.

Equip = 12"LX200 + GEG@F4 + Canon 300D
All comments are appreciated.
Enjoy

I love the detail along the terminator in the first image. Comes up really swell on such a large image. Too many features to name that stand out. Nice shot.

Thanks for the comments guys, I went back and did them again, this time on the monitor I usually do them on, my observatory monitor is not the best for processing images on.

I sharpened up the full image abit and changed its hue slightly, I would not push the sharpness any more then it is, otherwise it starts to look like there are snow capped mountains on the moon :lol:

Tycho is really outstanding as are its rays, it always amazes me how far across the moon they go, the mountains around mare imbrium are also stand out alot.
I only wish I had been able to get more frames for stacking.
The first image is cropped out of the unsized version of the second full image.
