Carl,

Nice images. Image 3 done it to me again ie craters went to domes. What software, if any, are you using to target the objects. I took some images of the moon on Monday night and caught an area just to the east of Sinus Medii ie close to 0 lat, 0 long. I had no idea of what area I was imaging untill I found a website with lunar maps.

Great images there Carl, especially the third one.
Interesting that you used 15fps, did you find that going higher made no differance or did it dim the image too much ??
Seems like you've solved the faint image problem, great to see you get the camera back !

Carl

Its a pleasure to look at these. I have been doing some lunar observing myself a few nights this week and its nice to see images of the spots I was observing. I love the first pic of the alpine valley. Very crisp.

The one of the hyginus rille, is not as crisp to me as the rest. I'm not an astrophotographer so I hope you dont mind the feedback.

I love the one of the Azrachel Region. The crater next to it on the left is Alphonsus and you have captured 3 dark regions and a summit pit or two on them. They reckon this dark matter is volcanic in Origin.
Alphonsus is also home to quite a few reports of TLPS's.
As an added bonus You also got the straight wall on the right of the pic.

Looking forward to the next batch

Cheers
Trevor

Hi Kieran,
I use lucam Recorder software & registax v4, as for imaging the moon i have a great book called discover the moon by jean lacroux and christian legrand it's a very good read.

Hi Dave,
I find it very hard to focus at 30fps 60fps i getting an automatic focuser soon it's costing €600 i must be mad

Carl,

Super images! Look very sharp. Well processed and look very "natural".
Again, I would say the third one is the best. So much fine detail!

Mind me asking what focuser are you getting? I got the robofocus recently and find it great.

Regards,
