Mind me asking what focuser are you getting? I got the robofocus recently and find it great.

Regards,

Hi Michael,

I find it very hard to focus at 30fps 60fps i getting an automatic focuser soon it's costing €600 i must be mad

We're all mad to be in this hobby, could you not focus at 15fps and just change the frame rate ?? I cant imagine it would affect the focus.
So is the image just that bit too faint at 30+ fps ??

I never thought of doing that  , it's a bit darker but not much you can brighten the image up using your gamma, contrast .& brightness, now using a Barlow 2 or 3 my be a different story the seeing has not been good enough to use the Barlows but I'll keep you informed.

Thanks for the responses Carl, I'm interested in getting one of these cameras but I need to know what it can do before I go for it.

The toucam can easily work at 15fps, even with the 2 or 3x barlow, but it cant work at 30fps with the barlows. If this camera can do that, then its the perfect planetary camera.

The Moon nevers appears boring, no matter how often you look at great images such as these! Some of the shadws are cast in spectacular fashion there.
