Wow. If I didn't know any better, I'd say there is the hint of large cloud formations blended in there Dave. The shadow at the centre of the disc - half missing in the terminator - is giving me a 3D effect - like what you would see a red corpuscle (bloodcell) look like (the central depression)! It's nothing bad, don't worry!

Seriously impressive stuff Dave. It's a nightmare target to focus!
Nice cloud detail + I saw a photo from a few days ago that also showed that central dark patch.

That's one of the best images of Venus I've seen! I wonder what is causing that dark shadow, though. Could it be an equatorial bulge in the clouds casting a shadow towards the terminator?
