Thnx folks

Phil the central region seems to be the easiest to img detail on. I dont know if this is a function of the imaging process (eg filters etc) or actual activity on the planet. Even the individual frames show this area and thats saying a lot (individual frame shown below.)

Reading up a little on photographing Venus in High Resolution Astrophotography by Jean Dragesco suggests that what you got is actual colour variance in the clouds themselves - or more accurately, the chemical make-up of the clouds are absorbing and reflecting the Sun's light in different amounts. This dark patterning can change radically over the year and shows up best in UV. Cool!

I'vfe noticed that in some of my other images (yet to be posted) that there are certain regions that seem to show most level of detail mainly in the north polar regions and this main band across the centre of the disk.
