Saturn tonight was created by Frank Ryan
Hi all.
Heres a quick shot of Saturn I took this evening.
It was still fairly bright when I started imaging.
I think this helped get some good contrast.
3min AVI Captured through an ETX-125 with a Philips SPC9000 webcam with IR cut filter & 2x Barlow.
Processed in Registax

Nice image Frank,
for me the background is abit bright, good detail on the disk and nice edges on the cassini division.

For a small image you've certainly caught some remarkable detail there Frank. It all looks natural, even on the navy background (as the Moon was up), so don't change a thing about it!

I'm telling ye lads, that 125 is an excellent little scope for the Planets / Moon.
I guess its all down to the focal ratio of f/15 , 1900mm focal length.
I'm hankering for a x5 powermate to really see what its made of.

Its certainly a fine scope, I almost bought one a few years ago as a portable scope, but got s 6" MAK instead, these MAKS are great on the planets and moon.
