Venus, May 1st image was created by dave_lillis
Hi All,
I had a good look at Venus over the past few days and noted how big it has become and how its phase has reduced.
I also took an image with the toucam (12"LX200+3Xbarlow)
farm1.static.flickr.com/197/481969519_50d71436c0_o.jpg
I stacked 450 frames out of 2500 using registax and photoshop.
This is a white light image, so its as seen through the scope, no filters.
I tried getting a decent image of Saturn, but the seeing for some reason was poor in that part of the sky. I cant wait for Venus to reduce in phase and get bigger.

Class image Dave!
Did you ever use any filters to see could you get cloud detail?
Judging by the size & quality of that I'd say you'd easily get some
with the right ones.

Thanks lads,
As for detail, I have a filter form the meade filter set that's practically in the violet, so I might try that and see what it gives, although I don't expect anything from it.
