My First M13 of this year! was created by DaveGrennan
Over the last two nights I managed to get together a couple of imaging runs resulting in this image of M13.

Still gotta get that coma sorted but otherwise I'm very pleased with the result. I guided this with my new Q-Guider camera and PHD guiding which do seem to work very well together. The Q-Guider can guide on 11thmag stars with a 2 second exposure.

"My God, it's full of stars!"
Dave that is absolutely magnificent.
I didn't know you could even get that deep.
BTW You mentioned coma. Seems only a tiny bit there but I thought you had an MPCC. Does it not work as efficiently @ F4?
Wow!

That's a stunning image! You can resolve individual stars a long way in.
"A nebula without a single star" ... woops .... looks like Charles Messier was a little off

A stunning deep image of M13 Dave.!!
I remember seeing a pic like it many years ago and it showed (like yours does) that this cluster is alot bigger then the visible image through the scope indicates.
well done.

Dave, This is a simply terrific image -- very well done. There have been some outstanding images posted on the IFAS site and the bar keeps getting higher but this one is in the Premiership -- right at the top. I have never seen such a detailed image of M13. I spent ages just looking at it. I noticed a couple of dark smudges near the 5 o'clock position just outside the bright centre, so I cleaned the monitor screen but they are still there. Any ideas as to what they are?
