A very sunny sunday with proms was created by TrevorDurity
Hey all,

Got a chance to use the PST for the first time in a couple of weeks today. Loads of proms around the disc and a nice sunspot (AR10957) close to the center.

Some shots
Proms @ f50

Proms @ f25

AR10957 @ f50

Cheers,

Trev

A quick question Trev, were you able to see the detail captured in the images as clear as the images would indicate ?

Thanks for the comments guys.

Dave, I wasn't able to see that level of detail. I could probably see about nearly as much as in the f25 image, just dimmer and at a lower magnification. Seeing conditions would mess that up though.

Visually the PST is just too dim due to lack of aperture when used at high powers + the camera I used was an Astronomiser black and white toucam - it's about 3 times as sensitive as the normal toucam pro.

So I guess a larger aperture is needed to get that detail visually.
