Anyone imaging tonight? was created by dmcdona
I'm getting an FWHM of 1.5 arcsec/pixel - is it just me?
If not, I don't think I've seen a sky like it! Perhaps all that cloud scrubbed it clean...

Having no camera for imaging, but only my trusty binoculars to hand for viewing, I was also surprised at the transparency of the sky last night. We had hail down this way during the afternoon, and it was very breezy at times with lots of showers. I guess all that rough weather just washed the dust and grime out of the air for the night.

Dave,
I have also experienced that kind of seeing and it is always a real treat. The only problem with your situation right now is that piece of rock 400,000 km away doing its thing with reflecting a LOT of sunlight our way ALL night long.

I tried imaging Saturn tonight and it was really fuzzy and it wasn't that low in the sky either . I was getting some pretty bad seeing, must be the approaching weather front causing it.
