Gave this a shot last night. With so much moisture/mist/cloud in the air I figured using the 10" F10 would be a nightmare so I had a go with the 80mm and the H16. I had to drop three frames which had too much haze on them. The other frames still showed the haze so some of the finer nebula detail was swamped.

Beautiful widefield image Kieran!
Mind me asking what exposures you used?

Michael,
I took 12x4 minute exposures at full resolution. I lost 3 to clouds and most had some haze on them so I lost the fine detail. I also had three sat tracks in them but sigma combine washed out the two fainter ones.
I could have upped the exposure time but I would have probably slit my wrists due to the projected number of cloud ruined images.
I had a look at VZ13 Linear and a 30 second exposure shows it quite well even through the fluffy stuff. I'm hoping for some clear sky on Friday for the appulse of P/2007 N2 & C/2005 L3.

Kieran,
That is a wonderful image, Congrats! I love the context of this shot!
I'm soooo jealous as M16 only comes through a gap in my trees for about an hour and that hasn;t coincided with clear skies so far!
One day
Well done .

That's a cracking shot Kieran, even now M16 is pretty low down so you've done well to get that much detail through what must have been quite a bit of crud.
Clear skies,
Paul.

Nice.
I noticed that the air was quite damp last night, the condensation was building up rapidly on my corrector plate. Getting this image is even more impressive due to the less than ideal conditions.
