Full moon over Dromoland Castle

''Yawn!'' I hear ye say?
I swear, I'm not working for Board Failte.
It's just that there are a lot of castles around here
and when I'm bored they make for 'cutsie arty' type shots.
So, I had this in the camera from a while ago so I said I'd work on it tonight.












It's a composite of an over exposed & underexposed shot with a Canon 350D
to try and get the castle and some detail on the Moon.

Looks supernatural, should have waited for Halloween with that one .

(P.S.
Architecturally speaking, the object is technically a "folly" in the grounds of Dromoland Castle. I have passed that floodlit "folly" many many times on my journey from Galway to Cork.
The fact that most of the floodlight beams miss it completely has always annoyed me.The floodlights too are "follies".)
