Dear friends .... and the guy who bribed Sir Patrick for a joint photo,

In a mad rush to beat the arrival of the full moon shortly, I sat down last night to pursue the PacMan Nebula in Cassiopeia. For the result based on over 5 hrs total exposure (RRGB @ 200:60:60:60), I kindly direct you to www.perseus.gr/Astro-DSO-NGC-0281.htm .

I hope you like the result.

Another cracker mate. Seems to be a tad too much blue in the sky background though.(Getting in before Seanie does  )

Kieran,

I was impressed with the strength of blue channel when I was capturing my subs. I do not often get a halo around my stars due to reflection nebulosity and, yet, if you look at some of the brighter stars I do have such a halo.

Also, with the histogram, the dynamic range for the blue channel is very good. I can tone down the blue component but I would feel guilty since the dominant blue is real.
