Cassiopeia was created by Keith g
Here's a shot of the 'W' constellation Cassiopeia that I took under poor enough conditions last week. I really just took this single shot to see how good my new backyard was for light pollution (as we have moved house) - happy days, the orange glow is far from here :P

I'm surprised at how many star clusters there are here, I can see M103, NGC457, 659 and 663. Also This one does'nt quite compete with Anthony's Pacman nebula NGC 281, seen here at bottom (great shot by the way!) I just managed to fit the 'W' in the field of view with the 85mm lens at f3.2, 3 minutes exposure at ISO 800, using the Canon 400D.

I'll get back into getting many more shots and stacking soon...

P.S. Jpeg resolution does'nt do this shot justice, the full resolution shows so many beautiful red and blue stars in better detail.

why not put up a high res image in flickr with a link here, I'd really like to see that.
Does the background look a little bright to you, the stars might stand out abit more if it was darker, just a suggestion...
