When one wakes up at 0400 and finds the sky clear then there is only one thing for it......

Here's Orion - 11 x 10s 50mm f1.7 ISO 3200 with some thin cloud and LP - all stacked up with Deep Sky Stacker. Some false colour but OTOH the Flame Nebula is clearly there and maybe even the Horsehead!

Hi Paul,

Orion is one of my favourite constellations and you have no idea how eager I am to start my "assault" on the many gems it has to offer. As I stay up late each evening imaging, I see Orion rising around 2 AM and the juices start flowing.
