You mean, you quit at 3.30am - very early.
Not like the 8 hour observing sessions we used to do!

On the 25th, I'll be short-n-sweet for me I'm afraid.
I'm up at 7:00am the following morning.
As for the vice-chair, this position does have it's benefits alright...massive salary, company car, brown envelopes etc...

The only problem is you've got to lick them yourself!
Is there a TAS observing session on October 25th? Why on a Monday night? Wouldn't the sunday night be better as people can get a lie on the next morning? The Moon is going to be pretty close to full that night too so there's not going to be much else on offer.

Well, the problem there Shane is that feck all people would come out on a Sunday night. TAS always has its public stuff on Monday nights. We have lost some members who are invloved in other clubs on Monday nights, but as far as we can find out, Monday night is the least active night in Tullamore for other clubs and societies. The fact that its dark early helps. As the year goes on and we have other observing nights (check your wallet calendar I gave you!), what rises late tonight will rise earlier next month and so on.
And to be honest, I kinda forgot about the eclipse till now!
We meet in the Order of Malta car park at 9pm, and head out to the observatory together.
I'll post details here in a new thread soon.
Oh, and if it wasn't for me, Mike, you wouldn't be vice chairperson... so I am owed something from any invisible brown envelopes you get!
Seanie.
