Well done, Kieran, superb!

Kieran, it's an excellent image but you're quite right, IE6 and 7 render images with a higher gamma value than Photoshop et al. I guess this is just a manifestation of different opinions on what looks "right".

Kieran,
Thats a fantastic image, those loops on the left and spurs on the right are exactly how it really looks, infact I'd say you could bring up the levels slightly to show the nebula a little brighter. Longer exposures would show more detail on the far left which is visible with a dark sky. .

With the 20"? Hope its at the Whirlpool, can't wait to see it and of course yourself . So far I have only met up with Seanie and Michael, and (Dave at the EAAS talk....not much time to chat though). Look forward to meeting some other names on the board ie Frank, Dave (both off) etc etc.
Don't know about this Carl guy though that Anto keeps referring to

Dont get me wrong, it wont ruin your dark adaption, nor can you get it all into the same FOV, you'll have to pan along it, but you do see the detail you captured, no colour of course, looking forward to meeting you there. I'll be bringing the scope along, seems like there will be alot of Dobs there this year
