Messier 71 - Globular or Open Cluster?? was created by Keith g
Hi all, I've always enjoyed viewing this lovely cluster in Sagitta, right in the middle of the summer milkyway, so now that my cg5 goto mount is working again, I decided to give it a go last night using my C80ED and the Canon 400D. This is a stack of 20 75 second exposures and 15 darks at ISO 1600. Even though the moon was bright, it came out well.
I really only shot this as to come to a conclusion myself whether it is a globular or open cluster. Officially, the IAU clasified this as a globular
YOU DECIDE.......?????
Keith..

Nice globular cluster you got there, or maybe it's a closed cluster, not sure.
