Deebee,

Flat frames are not going to be your major weapon of choice against noise. Thats the job of the dark frames OR using a large data set like you have. The job of flats is to remove gradients, dust donuts and generally evenly illuminate the field. It looks to me like flats aren't gonna do an awful lot for an image which looks pretty good anyway.

Did you apply dark frames? When you use large numbers of frames like you have, I'm not sure darks are going to make much of a difference. I'd be looking at getting longer exposures and going deeper. It looks to me as if you've got the rest sorted already.

Regards and Clear Skies,

Hi Deegee

I use dark frames from a library of darks that i have made. But I made them indoors and not outside so the temp is probobly different. I have not noticed any difference at all from whether i use thm or not though.

I know you shold take them at the same temperature as the lights but as the chip is such low noise anyway im not sure if darks are totally necesssary.

I do use bias frams and these make an enormous difference.

I do notice when I stretch things to the max that there are what appear to be tiny lines that appear to be in the image train somewhere. I suppose flats will get rid of those?
