NGC 891 - Galaxy in Andromeda. was created by DaveGrennan
Here's the result of tonights imaging. The weather forecast wasn't great. Then it turns into an 'all-nighter'. Doesn't happen that often so I was definitely going to take advantage!

Anyway here's the result of LRGB exposures 100:50:50:50 (consisting of 5 min subs). 10" f/4 newtonian, ATIK 16HR, CCD-Labs "Q-Guider", PHD-Guiding.
Processing: Images Plus v2.8, Maxim DL, Photoshop CS2.

A stunning image Dave, the dark band has depth to it,
There appears to be tiny little star fields in the dust band to the upper left.
One of my most favourite galaxies, definitely one of your best images Dave.

That's a very god shot of this edge on galaxy Dave, the dust lane is really thick. Hope you had a good sleep after the all nighter !!
I wish I could do that

Very nicely done Dave.
Amazing work.
There must be an awful lot of effort put in to get an image like that.
