Oh man, I give up!
Is it me or has the quality of images on this board jumped through the stratosphere over the past 12 months?
That is one stunning pic Kieran, along with your Veil pic last month it's my favourite of the year.
Was that the astronomy actions that put the spikes in?
Thanks for sharing

Kieran,
I will be both brief and blunt: AWESOME!
That is one sweet image! Just do me a favour and rotate it 90 degrees so that it will be properly oriented.

Frank has the spike generation dead on. Fishing line is so much easier than software. Do it once and and every image has it.
Dave, that new avatar, loooove it. Its nice to see that beast in daylight.
Anto, I could rotate the image and then upload it to flick r and then put in the new link etc but could you not just rotate your head 90 degrees since its less work for me

I knew those spikes were just too good to be software generated.
As for the avatar, I've been meaning to get one up like this for the past few months, thanks Frank for taking the image. This was during our recent failed attempt to get an image, any kind of image of the ISS through this scope. Its very difficult as the camera will only reach focus with the webcam when we use a 2x barlow, so making it twice as hard as it should be.

Hey Dave, was this Enigma code for 'Where is the red channel?' Went the wrong way on the filter wheel and the red channel was H alpha. Filter wheel now marked with coloured stickies for those late, tired & idiot proof nights.
