I haven't quite got the hang of this yet but I'm getting better at it! Here's Ms31, 110 and 32 taken through a 70-210 f4 lens - the Minolta "Beercan". 20 x 30secs ISO 1600 with 2 darks and 1 artificial flat - slight banding effects as the flat was made from a JPEG hence is only 8-bit - I'm going to try making a 16-bit flat to see if that's better.

Paul that's a good effort there, all you really got to worry about is your tracking, was it auto guided by the way?
There's good detail there in the arms, and the core is not over exposed, nice one.
Keith..

Thanks Keith - my mount's good for tracking up to 2mins with the 6" on it, probably much longer with that lens - TBH that wasn't carefully set up at all - just a rough polar alignment. I don't yet have a guiding facility although no doubt I'll go that route at some stage!
At the moment I'm spending lots of time learning how to get the best out of Deep Sky Stacker and it's the black art of "flats" that I'm having most fun with!
One thing I've noticed on my subs - these mild evenings when I can still go outside in a T-shirt --the hot pixel count in my DSLR is much greater than in the cold!
