An old image reworked

This is part of my education but I thought it worth putting up - it's 6 subs of M42 taken in January of this year, so at that time I was still learning to use my mount and 6" 'scope - at the time I was using Rot 'n' Stack - here I've converted the RAW images to TIFF and fed them into Deep Sky Stacker together with a Dark/Flat that I concocted. Still a bit noisy and geared towards the nebulosity rather than detail in the centre, but better than I got the first time around certainly!

Ahh yes. Cant wait to try my first attempt of ol' orion

Have you tried using neat image to get rid of some of the noise?

Great image there Paul, I too have been re-running my early experiments through Deep Sky Stacker and the difference is amazing!!!!! However, i am still in the process of "concocting" some darks and flats to match the original image sequences :roll: . Well done again!!!!
