An old image reworked was created by paulevans
This is part of my education but I thought it worth putting up - it's 6 subs of M42 taken in January of this year, so at that time I was still learning to use my mount and 6" 'scope - at the time I was using Rot 'n' Stack - here I've converted the RAW images to TIFF and fed them into Deep Sky Stacker together with a Dark/Flat that I concocted. Still a bit noisy and geared towards the nebulosity rather than detail in the centre, but better than I got the first time around certainly!

Great image there Paul, I too have been re-running my early experiments through Deep Sky Stacker and the difference is amazing!!!!! However, i am still in the process of "concocting" some darks and flats to match the original image sequences  . Well done again!!!! :D
