Wonderful shot Anthony
The Greek tourist board should use this shot in their literature. I would travel there to see something as scenic as that.
You know you could easily make a good living taking shots like this Anthony.
Keep up the amazing work!!

It's a great shot Anthony, but when do you think the Parthenon will be finished?

Anthony,

Tell them that Pericles would have been apalled to see Selene obscured by the twentieth century Barbarian construct called "floodlights".

Nice scenery to boot Anto! Say,out of curiosity, would you have preferred if there was no low cloud like that in front of the Moon, or do you think it adds to the shot? I can't be swayed either way myself.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Glad you like it!

As for the misplaced cloud, in retrospect I am glad it was there as I feel it enriched the overall photo.

The makeover for the Parthenon was supposed to be over in 2004 and before the Athens Olympic Games. As you can see, this is typical modern-day Greek "productivity" ... not only it wasn't completed by the start of the 2004 Olympic Games but it is certain it will also not be completed by the start of the 2008 Peking Games. Perhaps we may have a shot at being done by the 2012 Games.

As for the cranes, there was a third massive crane just to the right and which I purposely "missed" when adjusting for the field of view or, otherwise, it would have been one ugly and busy photo. With the two existing cranes, I did my best to mitigate their appearance and impact but still I am not very happy.
