Some lunar closeups was created by TrevorDurity
Hey guys,

Took a few shots the same night the comet arrived (24th). It's the usual suspects of the Plato area, Pythagoras area and Sinus Iridium area under a 13.5 day old moon with 97% illumination. All shots were taken using the Megrez 90 & black and white astronomiser toucam + 5x Powermate.

The pics are below. More information on the features in the shots are on my site at www.thelunarscape.com . You can select the thumbnail for the pic you're interested in to go to the details. (site doesn't support Safari btw).

Looks like I had some problems with registax on the Plato one so I'll have to revisit that one another night as I deleted the avi

Pythagoras

Sinus Iridium

Plato

Great sots Trev.
One minor thing.
To me they look like they might reveal a little
more detail with a stronger unsharp mask.

Just my opinion.

Hi Trev,

Some very nice images. lots of detail I like the bay of rainbows the best. The only thing that I noticed there is a couple misaligned AVIs in the Plato image but easily fixed.

Great work Well Done.
