Aristarchus region was created by carlobeirnes
Hi All,
While observing comets 17/P Holmes I couldn't resist to swing the Scope around to the moon. Aristarchus region is one of my favorite parts of the moon to image. I would love to get higher magnification but the seeing won't allow

That's a fine sharp image Carl.
Schroter's Valley has to be one of the most interesting features on the Moon - certainly one of my favourites anyway.
Mind me asking why you used a red filter?

Super sharp image there Carl, well done!!!
I gave that region a go on the 23rd, at F10 aith the 11inch but its not as detailed as yours.
What settings are you using on the camera in terms of Gain, Brightness etc?

A fine image Carl, probability one of the toughest craters to image due to its brightness !
