Maybe there should be a separate area to post images like this, with a brief description, but without the facility for others to critique it?
I know this is the astrophotography forum so the constructive suggestions are expected (and no doubt welcomed).
I'm suggesting that maybe there's a place for a separate area to post fabulous images, like this one, for no other purpose than for non-technicians (like me) just to browse and enjoy them.
Technical discussion of f numbers, alignments, exposures, flats, darks, stacks and lens caps will just draw my attention to stuff I didn't see and would never have seen otherwise, and hence will spoil my first impression of the image.
I truly am not criticising anyone for making suggestions for improvement - no doubt that's how many of you got so good at it in the first place and continue to get better - but I saw the photos and the description and thought "Wow, that's fabulous".
I'd like to be able to browse a gallery of great shots like this and just enjoy them without having my attention drawn to defects I as a non-photographer would never have noticed.
Oops, maybe there already is a gallery?
Either way, no offence intended to anybody - I just set out to compliment a fabulous photo and make a suggestion. Sorry if I trod on any toes.

There was a fire on the horizon which caused a strange effect on the Moon & Venus but I think it looks cool.
very light polluted fire!

Point taken Albert but that's not an Irish Astronomy.org address.
That's a bit like Dunnes telling me "Oh yes, you can get that at Tesco".

Yea completely agree! It was to be a temporary setup but it works well and I dont know if the web lads are going to put in another gallery here anytime soon. It is linked on the front page of this site though
