Yes, I know of the area. How do you find the area for light pollution? Your shot makes it look like it is creating a dome of light over the town.

To be honest, I don't be out doing a whole lot of observing. I went to Lough Ree after taking the first shot above hoping for a nice dark area, and was very annoyed when I had the light from three other towns creeping in.

At best guess, the three light sources in the pic are Roscommon, Lanesborough and Ballymahon, from left to right.
