Narrowband Image of Mel 15 in IC 1805 was created by Gary Clarke
Hi all, I have been busy over the last few weeks but here is an image of Mel 15 in IC 1805 taken between Oct - Nov 07, Clonee Observatory, Dublin 15. 25x5min + 6x10min with H-Alpha, 24x5min + 6x10min with S2, and 18x5min + 4x10min with O3 Astronomik Filter's, taken through a Williams ZS 80EDII, piggybacked on a CGE 11. Self guided with the SBIG ST8-KME, Darks and Flat subtracted.

Holy cow... Really, REALLY, fantastic image Gary. Barely a hint of vignetting even. Absolutely superb.
One "bad" remark though, you have a line at the bottom of the image where one of the stacked images didn't fit. You might just want to crop a few mm of it to keep it perfect.

Fab image Gary! Fantastic colours.
As the lads said, a little cropped off the bottom of the image would help alright.
BTW, I see a couple of the stars near top centre have a blue glow around them to one side...what would cause that?

Michael, is it the main stars at the top left of center that you are talking about. If it is, this is caused by the h-alpha filter, which is the green channel. The h-alpha filter tends to cause stars to bloatBTW, I see a couple of the stars near top centre have a blue glow around them to one side...what would cause that?
