Bad weather methinks. It is also quite small at the moment. The closer we get to December the 24th, the better it will look.

Have observed it a few times with the 5.5" refractor at 300x. Polar cap visible along with some of the main features. Well worth a look. Haven't bothered trying to get images.

With all this crap weather and when it is clear, the comet is getting all the attention, I have to say though I noticed that also. but now that you said it on the boards, give it a few days and we'll be seeing many Mars images here I'd bet. :lol:

Ahh you can't beat the classic confectionery jokes.
Surprising how much of the stuff is named after astro stuff.
And plumbing stuff also, Mira, Triton etc..
