New Canon EOS Insert Filters was created by Keith g
Telescope-service in Germany have now introduced 'insert' filters that can be put directly in front of the sensor from within the camera. There are many available here:

www.telescope-service.com/filters/start/...html#EOS_Klemmhalter

I wonder how they perform, especially the anti light pollution one???????????
There are also Oxygen 3 and H-alpha filters...

Keith the astronomik filters are the bees knees. I assume that these filters are the same ones they sell as 1.25" or 2" but just packaged to fit inside a DSLR. The CLS is the biz. Having bought a 2" one a year or so ago, i'll never use another light pollution filter. The nice thing about the CLS is there is minimal attenuation in the desirable wavelengths and colour shift is virtually non existant. For the kind of images you take I'd say this filter would be perfect.

Hi Keith

I have ordered a CLS type clip-in filter for the EOS 350D, and am expecting delivery within the next few days.

Certainly saves the hassles of getting different filters for different lenses.

That's funny. I just came across that page on Telescope Service this week and was also going to order the CLS - it's cheaper than the regular 2" version. Will probably also get the clear filter as a dust protector.
