Trev,

If getting the clear filter for dust protection/daytime use - don't forget that its not suitable for use with EF-S lens. i.e. the one that ships with the 350D 18-55mm EFS.
So unless you've got EF lenses these filters are no good to you.

Given the amount of light pollution where I shoot from, I think I'll order one also.

Thanks John, I hadn't noticed that.
Luckily my canon lenses are normal EF, so it should be OK. Phew!

Hi Keith

I have ordered a CLS type clip-in filter for the EOS 350D, and am expecting delivery within the next few days.

Certainly saves the hassles of getting different filters for different lenses.

Hi Steve,
How much is that filter?
Cheers,

Hi Michael

The CLS filter works out at about 150 Euros including delivery (129 + 21 postage).

Astronomik also have O3, UHC, H alpha and Beta, S11 versions of this filter at a variety of prices.

As John pointed out, these are not suitable for the EF-S type lenses due to the fact that they travel further into the body of the camera. However, should be ideal for my EF, Sigma and Tamron lenses.
