WOW!
IMed that to a few friends, they all refuse to believe me that it was taken by an amateur.
A simply superb shot. I just love the little nodules of gas you can clearly see. Am I right in assuming that those are areas where stars are forming?
Anyhow, congrats on a jaw-dropping image!

There seems to be some very minute coma in the stars to the far right, are you using a focal reducer ?

Dave I think that was due to severe winds while capturing some of the luminance data. A William Optics 0.8x focal reducer/flattner was used.
