IMed that to a few friends, they all refuse to believe me that it was taken by an amateur.

A simply superb shot. I just love the little nodules of gas you can clearly see. Am I right in assuming that those are areas where stars are forming?

Anyhow, congrats on a jaw-dropping image!

Dave I think that was due to severe winds while capturing some of the luminance data. A William Optics 0.8x focal reducer/flattner was used.

I'm lovin' it Dave! Some field of view there. Colours are striking. I can't believe how large you've captured it really! :shock:

Wow the detail is excellent. I must give it a go sometime my Scope is full of cobwebbs.
