M35 and NGC2158 - A Quicky Image. was created by DaveGrennan
With just clear spells in Dublin this evening, I managed to get some maintenance work done in the observatory, polar alignment etc. In between I grabbed a quick set of 5 x 5mins on M35. I am quite pleased with the result for such a short sequence. ATIK16HRC and Celestron 80EDF Onyx.

That's really quite excellent Dave - a good range of star colours there!

Beautiful shot Dave - and great stuff for a 'quickie'!! Your Rosette nebula shot is stunningly beautiful!
Now stop wasting time taking pretty pictures and polar align your mount properly - which obviously stank judging by your previous images!!
Phil.

Dave, nice work. There are many pairs with similar proximity and they always make for fascinating photos.
If you have a chance, try the Double in Perseus (NGC 869/884) as well as the pair of dwarf galaxies in Cassiopeia (NGC 147/185).

A grand image Dave, to me ngc2158 always looks like a mini M35 through the scope.

I like that Dave. One of your best.
I also like the way the background levels are set above zero so that it doesn't look too dark. Very nice.
