These are the first photos that I'm (personally) happy with so any comments/suggestions on how to improve are totally welcome
All photos were taken with a Canon 350d Tele Zoom lens all mounted on a tripod

They're great shots Joanna. What settings did you use on your camera? I assume there's no drive involved? If not then the approximate limit of your shutter speed is 10 seconds when using a 50mm focal length - longer if using a wider lens and shorter if using a longer lens. You can see darker objects by increasing the ISO setting right up to 1600. You ougt to be able to get a hint of the Flame Nebula next to Alnitak (bottom left of the belt) from a static setup, also a hint of the Running Man above M42/43.

Off hand I can't remeber but I'll check and post the settings later. I was messing around with the ISO and I think the Seven Sisters might be at ISO1600. I think the timing on the photos is between 15-30 seconds each.
