Eyepiece projection problems

I wouldn't assume its completely useless, you'd need to point the setup at the moon to see, one thing is that the chip needs to be perfectly square with the optical axis, otherwise focusing will not be possible for the entire field of view of the chip.I've attached it to the scope with tape, (crude I know) and it doesn't really show anything, just a blue blur, I'm assuming that as it is a CMOS chip it is not sensitive enough.
That's the right camera but that is the monochrome version, so all you're images will be black and white, it gives higher resolution then a straight colour camera but you will need filters for red/green/blue to make up a colour image and a filter wheel to save yourself from going bonkers.Think I'm gonna get another webcam is the below what I need?

I'd go for the colour version starting off unless you want to get the filters and the wheel.

Think I'm gonna get the SPC900NC, the link to that page has a drop down with both the colour and b&w versions.
Gonna go for the colour like u said
cheers

The idea here is to use the 'scope as a replacement for the lens - you get loads of magnification by virtue of the long focal length of the 'scope imaging on the small area of the webcam chip. The magnification is so much that the biggest problem I find is actually finding anything, then getting it in focus!
Understand Totally now Paul, I lined the scope up with a chimney on a house up the street, stuck the de-lensed webcam on with tape at the prime focus and got the chimney into focus and the image was bigger than looking at the chimney through a 10mm eyepiece and 2x Barlow, webcam and barlow was massive!
This has been a good lesson in optics for me, so role on the SPC900NC
thanks again everyone
