Another go at M45 was created by phoenix
This was taken on the 5th because the last time I imaged it I used the H alpha by mistake to take the red images.

Kieran,

It seems every image you take is more amazing than the last. That is first class.

Doubt that mate (Ijust don't post the carp ones :D ). This was taken while waiting for the cone nebula to get high enough so there is only 30 minutes per channel. Still very grainy and needs about another 30 mins per channel to get a nice smooth look to it.

I'd take that level of grainy any day:) Looks pretty smooth to me!

Struth mate, that is a whopper of an image! If I hadn't known it was from you Kieran, I would have guessed it was by well-seaoned pros with superior equipment, if you know what I mean. Sharpness? tick. Colour? tick: Awe? big tick.

You know what is the only thing missing from this image? It is those classical points you often see other M45 images have around the brighter Sisters!

Stunning image Kieran.
