Another newbie! was created by redstar1
Well the adaptors for my camera arrived today and seeing as it was a pretty clear night, and with a huge target in the sky, I thought I'd have a bit of a play about.

I have a Fujifilm 6500fd, with an F-adapter and stepping ring. All attach to the camera ok. However I think I need some advice as regards attaching the camera to the eyepiece. I played about with it for an hour or so, getting limited results. Any views of the moon through the camera very very blurry and obscured. I'm not sure i'm getting the camera 'straight on' to the eyepiece.

I've had a quick scan through the forums here, and on the web, so apologies if I've missed some obvious source of information, but I would appreciate some advice from someone with a similar setup.

Thanks

From what I can see this is not a slr camera, or atleast the lens is not removable which kinda limits your options. All you can do is hold the camera up to your lowest power eyepiece and see what you get, be happy with the results before you get anymore parts.
Can you describe what an F-adapter is ?

The F-Adapter screws onto the camera lense and attaches to the eyepiece.

Like so. It 'should' work. I've seen them working fine, but obviously by more experienced hands than mine.

Its probabily more like that the eyepiece you are using is unsuitable for this use, try looking at the following link.
