My first ever astro photo - the moon was created by Euronymous
Well tonight I took out my C8-N and decided to photograph the moon, seeing as it was seemingly clear. However it got very cloudy straight away, but the moon was still visible and of course better looking with cloud than a full on glare without cloud.
I took this photo just by holding a digital camera up to the eyepiece and pressing the button. No adapters or whatever. Decided to label it as well as I got all excited at actually getting a photograph to work, might as well learn the locations.
So here it is

Very nice photo.
I've done something similar myself. I have one of the scopetronix gadgets to hold the camera to the eyepiece - I must really try to get the hang of it.

Eyepiece projection astrophotography - pretty good image Euronymous. You have got a good point about using the thin cloud to take away the glare. You still get the detail you seek, but not have it awash with glaring white!

Great pic. Nice detail due to thin clouds. The moon was so bright last night that just to look at it i had to use a moon filter.
