Cool shots lads.
Seanie,
try blocking the lens for a second or two just before each
adjustment, you'll get a different effect.
Lots of dots' dashes.

Keith,
that really is a mad shot. If you were to try and replicate it today, would you remember what you did back then?

Frank,
that is a great idea, I'll definitely give that one a go next time I have the chance, thanks for the suggestion.

Yep, I have the details saved - here they are, I obviously had the zoom lens set at 135mm, but it slipped back to about 70mm over the course of the exposure, I remember my blu-tack fell off :P

Taken January 30th 2003 with a sigma 135mm lens at f5.6, 3 minute exposure on Fuji Provia 400F film. The zoom lens slipped back during the exposure giving a warp speed effect!!!

Speaking of warp factor, here's a mad ! and accedental shot I took with film a few years ago, my zoom lens slipped back during exposure of M35. I think it's really cool though....

Seanie the program Opanda PowerExif 1.2 will let you know the exact settings on your cam when you took the image thus letting you replicate it.

P.S~~Keith THAT IS TRULY a "warp factor" image.

It looks like the cockpit view from the Millenium Falcon going into "hyper drive".

Makes a great wallpaper

Amazing.
