Tell you what John, they're streets ahead of my first efforts! Nice work - keep it up - remember once you've bought the camera digital doesn't cost anything so take plenty of lineup shots to get that focus right then take plenty more to stack up so the noise smooths out.

Welcome to the never ending art that is astrophotography, those are good first image John, the moon shot shows a good sharp terminator, it might be that the M42 image is slightly out of focus, how did you take the saturn image ?

With Saturn i took it with the Nikon D80 with a x2 barlowand then edited it by zooming in on it.

Talk about making life hard for yourself, you need to get the philips webcam, its the job for planetary imaging.Dave,
