Hi guys,
Just a couple of questions about the Philips SPC900 for ye,
What are the best settings?
And I am having problems with registax, I cant get the video to save as an AVI, it says MPG instead, can anyone shed some light on this and how do i save it as an AVI?

John, what are you using as your capture software? I have an older Toucam and found the Philips software next to useless for capturing - I now use the free version of K3CCDTools which has its quirks but does the job well enough.
Anything that saves as .mpg is no good as the compression will lose all your detail - the .avi files you capture should be uncompressed or iYUV compressed which is a lossless compression.
HTH - feel free to ask more questions as I went through this learning curve myself a few years back!

Paul,
I am using the philips software that came with the camera and I find it good but i'm not very good on the subject.
Its called VLounge.
Got any ideas on how i might change the .mpg to .avi.

The vlounge software will only save as an MPG, to save an AVI I use freeware called Craterlet. This does a fine job. It is available at:
