Super detail in the outer areas of the nebula.
Mind me asking how you find the XT10 for astrophotography?
Does it weigh much on the G11?

The G-11 handles the XT-10 easily. I didn't mention that the Orion ED80 is side saddled for guiding. Combined weight is about 42 lbs, about max for photography work on the G-11

Thanks all for the wonderful comments :D

One word comes to mind: DEPTH !

Exactly, that's the word I was looking for!
A very striking image there..

Tom, your M42 images get better and better, and that one is stunning - the balance between detail in the outer fringes and a complete absence of any burnout in the Trapezium is what makes it for me.

Simply excellent.

Silky and velvety are words that spring to mind. It really is a class image...............the depth is amazing it sucks you right in but very gently.

Its a very pleasing SOFT image to look at.

Kinda looks like the feeling you get when you wrap yourself up in a big fluffy quilt and dont wanna get out of bed at 7am on a rainy day.
